Activities: Lucky Shamrock
Need items: recorded Irish Music, game pieces(half should have a shamrock on the back and half should have gold of some kind on the back and there should be one special one), taped circle on floor(If you are especially handy you could make this look like a road).
Children walk around the circle while music is playing. When the music stops each child picks up a game piece. If they have picked up a shamrock, they get to continue playing. If they picked up a gold piece they are out. Game continues while there are still pieces left or until someone picks up the special piece That person is the winner.
Crafts:This is an easy to do craft. All you need is a pipe cleaner(chenille stem) and three fingers. Hold the end of the pipe cleaner between thumb and first knuckle of tall finger. Wrap pipe cleaner around tall finger; then around index finger; then around ring finger. Slip shamrock off fingers. Twist excess around the stem. Cut to size you would like. There you go!
Decorations: 3D Shamrocks:
This is also simple. Almost everyone knows how to cut hearts put of paper. That is how we start. Make three of them. Make a cut where the”heart” dips down about half way to the point. Staple in a wedge along the cut. Now glue the three points to a stem cut fr you scraps of paper.

Poetry: Five Green Shamrocks
One green shamrock, in the morning dew,
Annother one sprouted, and then there were two.
Two green shamrocks, hrowing beneath a tree,
Another one sprouted, and then there were three.
Three green shamrocks,by the cottage door,
Another one sprouted, and then there were four.
Four green shamrocks, near a beehive,
Another one sprouted, and then there were five.
Five little shamrocks, bright and emerald green,
Think of all the luck these shamrocks will bring.

Child: Couldn’t be.
