Activities:  Monkey Swing

Little Monkey swing in a tree

All hold hands and swing with me.

Swing up high and swing down low,

Swing in the tree now don’t let go.

Swing,

Monkey see Monkey do Children sit in circle. One child is selected to leave the room.  Of the children left in the circle, one is chosen to be the first monkey. The monkey remains seated and makes hand movements such as clapping, waiving arms or patting body. The monkey does one movement for 10 to 15 seconds and then changes to another movement. The absent child is invited back to the circle.  This child must  try to guess who the monkey is. When He/she guesses correctly, He sits down and the monkey becomes the guesser. Continue playing as long as the children are having fun. If you would like, you may play music during the game.

Music:  I’m a little monkey ( I’m a little teapot)

I’m a little monkey in a tree.

swinging by my tail so merrily

I can leap and fly from tree to tree

I have lots of fun you see

I’m a  little monkey watch me play

Munching on bananas every day

Lots of monkey friends to play with me

We have fun up in a tree.

five beanie monkeys

 Underneath the monkey tree

Come and play with me.

Underneath the monkey tree.

Monkey see and monkey do

Just like monkeys in the zoo.

Swing your tail, one, two, three. Underneath the monkey tree.

Monkey see monkey do.

Just like monkeys in the zoo.

Jump around and smile like me.

Underneath the monkey tree.

monkey see monkey do.

Just like monkeys in the zoo.
